Root removing ADW launcher!

heehee

Newbie
Heya, I wanted to switch launchers from ADW to LauncherPro..... I downloaded home switcher and LP, but I just wanted to know if there was a way to fully remove ADW and TW without harming my phone? I'm kinda terrible with ADB so... a step by step tutorial would be really appreciated!

Yup although adw by itself can just be uninstalled from the market....tw would have to be removed with the above method

I put that because I have no idea y but I personally could not uninstall adw from market. I could not even uninstall by changing to r/w and deleting or renaming. Thats when I finally had to go with uninstall through tb. I just like to throw that idea out there in case ppl run into problems with adw uninstall like I did. :D

But to op I would try what nitsuj said first and try to uninstall adw from market first. I forgot to include that part, my mistake :o

if you had moved adw into system/app it may have not been able to uninstall correctly because the market didnt know where to look for it

Nope never moved adw because it seemed to run tw under it just fine. It wasn't until I started running lp that I removed tw and moved lp to system/app. But its no big thing it all worked out and I now have a backup idea for anyone that runs into my "good" luck with uninstall ;)

It is just a guess, but I think jt puts adw in the system files when he builds the roms... so that could be the issue... only a guess though, found adw in the system files when I went to remove tw
