Root Removing all web access while maintaining email capabilities

Hello to all! Greetings!

This may (or may not) sound like somewhat of a new twist.

Recently I rooted my phone. Perhaps the primary objective, was to remove all web access from the phone, while maintaining email capabilities. It worked like a charm. I deleted the stock browser, and Flickr, and QuickLookup, etc. and presto! I now had an email-enabled yet web-less phone.

Or so I thought. You see, it turns out that in the stock email app, all you have to do is click on a link in an email, and the email app turns into a handy mini-browser. Not a full-blown browser mind you, but enough that the kids who will invariably get hold of my phone, could easily end up where they shouldn't be. It doesn't take a genius of a kid to figure out how to send himself an email with a link to anywhere. (I know, there are various filters etc., but that's not what I wanted. I wanted it off. Period.).

So here's the challenge. How can the link-following feature of the stock email app be disabled, deleted, demolished, and destroyed?
Alternatively, maybe someone knows of a different email application which doesn't have this link-following feature. Or better yet, that doesn't have the latent capability of turning into a mini-browser at all?

One more hole, I'd like to patch. If you go to the Settings -->About phone -->Legal info --> Google, you'll find that that could also be a mini-mini-browser. I would like to know how to delete that as well.

Thank you, members of the community, for trying to work this out.

I assume this is all to protect your kids from certain content?

If so, why not just use a parental control app such as
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kaspersky.pctrl&feature=search_result

Or maybe even:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...android.parentalcontrol&feature=search_result

I dont know if this is what you are looking for, but it may be helpful for your situation

Thank you for your response.

Yes, I'm aware that there are such programs available, but they're not what I need. So I'm looking for the way to do what I described in the opening post.

Any ideas, tips, references etc. ?
