removing apps from homescreen?

Hi all,

The updated rom firmware updated wonderfully and now the fun is really responsive and fast with very little noticeable lag.
I have searched but can't see anyone else mention this, I can't believe this is just me though.
When you want to remove an item from the screens now, it will start the app just by touching and not give time enough to highlight so that it can be dragged to 'remove' tab. One example is googlemaps from the homescreen.
Have I overlooked a setting which will allow this or are the updates to speed such that it is a little too responsive now?

Thank you - boilerhouse

Hi

The problem is that the longer press does not work. Let us take 'googlemaps' when you press the icon, the programme opens and your still endlessly pressing the screen looking at the open 'gridded' page, where the icon once was. This in turn means that for now I am unable to remove or move certain apps. I guess this is a minor hickup for now.

update: just playing around with the icons on the screens, this problem appears to be limited to the homescreen only, no other screen is affected. hmmm.

I got the Twitter app stuck, a long press would not remove it. Turning the phone on and off solved it for me.

That worked! just after you turn the phone on and the screen comes up it gives you a window of time to move / remove apps from the homescreen.

Thank you
