Removing apps from Motorola Quench

How can I uninstall an unwanted app that doesn't have a "uninstall" button?

I've installed an app called "work contacts" on my Motorola Quench. It's wasn't what I expected so I want to remove it.

There are apps that the carrier has that comes with the operating system. That is one of them. It is called "bloatware". It just takes up space and you can't delete it....

Unless..... you ......

Root!


That gives you what's called super user access.

this app was downloaded from the Android Market, not pre-installed by Motorola.

really??????????????? huh. I find it unusual that you can't get rid of it then. Is it on your SD card? If all else fails, you can do a factory reset.

aahhh, the SIM card ... now that's a thought .. once I've figure out how to access it. BTW, in the states my phone is called the "Motorola CLIQ XT", but in Canada (my home), it's called simpily the QUENCH.
