Root Removing Boot Animation ?

not sure if this has already been asked before. How to remove the Boot animation ? My phone is rooted and I have downloaded root browser. I went inside the system/media folder and renamed the bootanimation_virgin.zip. It got rid of the video but the sound still played.

Should I just delete the whole file ? If I want to set up the bootanimation_sprint.zip as the default boot animation, how would I do that ? Thanks.

Easier way to disable and re-enable the boot animation

Add this line to the build.prop

Quote:
debug.sf.nobootanimation=1
Change the "1" to a "0" and the bootanimation will be back on

You can do what stevestone suggested to disable boot animation. I have a list of pointers and apps and it includes how to disable the boot sound here:

As far as changing boot animation, I used Rom Toolbox from play store on my other phones. Here is the lite version:

Just be aware that it may brick your phone or and infinite boot loop, something wrong may happen. My suggestion is to just disable the boot sound, but your call. Good luck!
