removing facebook contacts

hi guys

first timer, just got the desire 2.2 on orange. got a little issue with the facebook app that i hope you can help with.

i went into the app, logged in and all that and then discovered that it's grabbed all friend details and added them to my contacts list. basically, i dont want them there - lots of aquaintances and people that i've not seen for 20 years - but i can't find a way to remove them. it's bugging me, especially as i have a habit of making calls from my pocket (although that seems not to happen with the desire so far)

have looked at removing the app but i don't think that's possible from what i can see although if it's possible i wouldn't miss it.

also, if i log in to twitter, is it going to do the same thing?

any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated

oops, just did a search and found the solution on another thread.... sorry about the double up

still, great forum... keep up the good work

can't find the post anymore but i think it went something like

menu>settings>accounts & sync>and then remove the account

this works if you don't care about using the facebook app anymore, which quite honestly i really couldn't care less about.

another one that was suggested but didn't work for me was

people>menu>view> unchecked facebook

imho it's a pretty weak thing to do without asking permissions. goes to show that whoever is responsible don't really know how facebook works in the real world. gotta be someone in marketing

good luck
