Root Removing Gallery apk and odex

I have 2.1 with root and have removed just a few apps with root explorer. Namely the NFL, NASCAR and bejeweled apps.

I have the new flan gallery that I downloaded straight off the internet with my phone. I like this gallery the best.

If I remove the gallery.apk and odex files will the old gallery go away and leave me with just the new flan gallery I downloaded.

It will. I did it but honestly I kinda regret doing it cause the flan gallery stills not working real good. .

Just back it up by copying and saving it to your SD card. The new Gallery is somewhat glitchy but works awesome. Just keep them both, the OG gallery is very minimal in size/usage.

Agreed, don't ditch the original gallery. Back it up first if you really want to remove it. I hate the new gallery, it's buggy and never loads thumbnails.

Always get into the habit of backing things up before making any changes, I had to learn that the hard way
