Help Removing my phone identity

Hi folks. I am selling my HTC evo 4g and wanted to remove my cell phone # from the 'Settings>About Phone>Phone identity' section of my Evo. Is this possible? Also there is a reference to my Sprintpcs email address in there as well, even though i've never used it, my 'current username' is displayed in that email address. The phone has been deactivated because i have since bought and activated a different phone altogether. Thanks much.

Usually you can either call sprint or take it to a sprint store and they can have those settings wiped out. If you call they will walk you through the correct procedure. Doesn't Matter if its activated or not. Gave my wife my old bb and it wasn't activated and we had to remove it all as well.
