Root Removing telephony.db to fix MMS?

I have this problem and can't even find the file. There is no sub folder named "data" in my data folder.

Were you looking in the /data folder on the phone or the SD card? The phone /data folder is the one you want.

MMS hasn't worked for me since I switched to miui (my first rom ever). Never sent, and always sat there downloading and ALWAYS failed. Removed that damn telephony deal, reboot, MMS works BEAUTIFULLY. You saved VM from having to give me another month of free service for me not getting what I paid for! Thanks again!

I am using MIUI also. Where did you go to find the file?

I tried to do this as well when i had the issue. i tried renaming telephony, then deleting it, and nothing. there was another mmssms.db file in the same directory so i took a chance and deleted it and telephony.db. lost all my current texts, but i did get back my ability to mms. hope this helps

Running CM7. I had a problem with receiving an MMS earlier today and discovered this thread. Removing the telephony.db file resolved the problem instantly. Thanks for the tip.

I've been having the same issues. I renamed the file and it's working great. Running CM9. Thanks!
