Root Renaming Apps?

I have finally rooted my phone and am using Link2SD to get rid of all the preinstalled apps that i dont want and it works great... but now there are a couple apps with names that make no sense to me and id like to rename them to something that makes more sense... is there anyway to rename apps on your phone? i have it rooted with Gingerbreak 1.20 and have version 2.2.2 of the Android system... let me know.. thanks!


oh and also, off topic here... when i force move apps like Facebook or Words With Friends to my SD card, will they still update themselves as they normally would?

It's been a while since I have used link2SD, but I will give it a shot!
Link2SD should not change any of your apps names....what is new that isn't making sense?

If you force FB or words to the SD, they will still update. The widgets will not work if they are on the SD.

My understanding is that they facebook should work if it is linked to the sdcard, if it is "moved" to the sdcard using the phones native feature the widget will not work and even then not all of if it is really moved, only a portion. My recommendation is have it linked to your sd card. And yes they should update.
I don't think link2sd can rename apps though.
