Renaming icons?

I've tried Anycut, App Organizer, Folder Organizer and none of them gives me the ability to actually change the icon names. For example, I just want to shorten Handcent SMS to just SMS. Is this possible?

Doesnt look like it. that sucks, i wanna rename alot of my apps.

Can get "Better Cut" for a few bucks - lets you customize the name of the icon and the icon itself.

i tried better cut and yes you can rename icons, however you are creating a shortcut not just changing the name. i like how the handcent widget has a counter on it, but i could not find a way to keep it when i created the short cut. maybe someone more familiar with better cut can help us out.

I never thought about shortcuts, thats one way to get around it. will give it a try. Nice Banksy avy by the way
