Hello! I am new to smartphones and have only had my Captivate for a day now. I've been trying to make it a little more user friendly and one of the issues I have is that I cannot figure out how to get the phone to notify me if I have a new message that I haven't read yet. On my Samsung Mythic it let me set to remind me every 2 minutes if I missed a text message. This morning I missed one and didn't find it till over an hour later. Is there a way to fix this?

I'm not sure if there is that option in the stock messaging app, so an option would be download and alternate texting app like Handcent, or use SMS Popup with stock messaging. If you go into the notification settings on either of these apps, you can enable reminders to go off at a set interval.
