Help Repeated Notifications After Turning ON?

I was wondering if anyone else is getting this little/minor issue?

Whenever I power cycle my phone or simply turn it on; once it is booted up a get a message's notifications of all the messages I've received since I last power cycled the phone. This is a repeat of what I've already cleared out, viewed, replied, etc.

If you haven't confirmed the event, it will show up again.

I do get this now and then, but I think I only rebooted my SGN once since release day. My Bionic/Charge would do this.

^^^ This, it should happen with any phone actually. My guess is that it is the network sending the notification again because it thought the phone wasn't on when it was sent the first time.

To help further isolate the problem, how many of us with this issue is either using the stock messaging app or a 3rd party messaging app?

I am using Verizon Messages and installed it immediately after activating the phone.

I will try to keep a count here in this post.

Stock Messaging App Users:

3rd Party/Android Market Messaging App Users: 1

I believe that this is an Android issue, and not specifically the Nexus. This happened all the time with my Eris, and my DInc.
