Help Repeated System Update Notifications

Hi all...Motorola Droid running 2.2 and BBv0.5 and I keep getting system update notifications where I'm asked to reboot and install or ignore...at which point the notification comes back in a few minutes. For grins I backed things up and clicked "Install" and it took me to the clockworkmod / SPRecovery screen where I got a triangle with an ! -- turns out, said update failed. Then a few days later, started getting the update notifications again.
What gives?

Pete's BB doesn't block OTA notifications, but your recovery is blocking installation.

You should still be able to manually install it, you'll just need to find the file. However, you will lose root, as this will be a stock system ROM that is trying to install.

You can visit Peter Alfonso and ask Pete if there is a way to permanently block the OTA notifications....
