Replace HTC Lockscreen, an Incredible Find!

Sounds good, I look forward to any updates.

The option to "Press Call button to launch dialer", does the dialer refer to the page where you can actually dial a number, or just the phone dialer app in general?

Also just remembered, is there any way to be able to activate the notification bar (ie, have the pull down menu) when the notification bar is hidden?

I'm having a problem, Iv have WL for months now, but lately every time I turn my phone and go to my home screen I get the message Informing me about the 5 second rule but it does this no mater how long my phone has been on sleep.

Hey, noob here, I'm wondering if you can somehow choose which apps require the pattern lock.

I would like to be able to just slide to use my camera, and use my Winamp widget, but I want to have to actually use the slide pattern when I use the unlock slider...help?

I'm hoping someone can clarify some confusion I have over when to use root helper and home helper options in advanced settings.

What I've found is that when I have both enabled, my evo boots up to a blank screen, shows a force close or wait.

If i have just root helper enabled, then it boots up to the standard lock screen, and ~20-30 seconds later, once the boot up cycle has completed, the widgetlocker lockscreen appears.

So what I'm looking for an a dumbed down, layman's explanation of what each of these do, and what happens if/when they're used together.

Many thanks!

Widgetlocker runs perfectly on this Dinc. A padlock on the screen instantly shuts it down, and the volume control turns it back on. Not complicated, but it works for me.

The padlock is Lock Screen, a separate app. Is there a 1-touch screen closer in Widgetlocker?

Does anyone know how to make it so that the camera slider doesn't require unlocking? It was working perfectly fine and now it requires unlocking

It is not possible at this time, but it is planned for the future.

Anyway to implement an alternative wallpaper but in GIF format or animation?

Not at this time.

Basically don't use the HomeHelper. If you're rooted, definitely use the root helper.
The HomeHelper can do a few things that aren't normally possible. Such as start WidgetLocker very early at boot, or block the Home button in other apps (And also block the Home button on some devices where the normal method doesn't work like the Streak or the Galaxy S2). But it's confusing and Android doesn't handle having two home apps very well.

Planned.

just have a quick question. I am really interested in getting widget locker, however I noticed in some of the comments that it drains battery life quite a bit. They weren't necesarily from incredible owners, probably cheap knockoff boost phones, but I was just curious if this was the case and it did put a big drain on the battery or not? Thats the only thing holding me back from purchasing it honestly.

Evidently I'm using Widgetlocker improperly, because it doesn't seem to be affecting battery life at all. It just works - brilliantly.

What should I do to get it to degrade battery life?

I've had it installed for a few months now on my Inc. It runs great and I've noticed absolutely zero extra battery drain. Btw, I'm rooted, but running stock (no custom ROM).

DON'T HESITATE! WidgetLocker is one of the easiest and best ways of customizing a device. There is so much you can do with it and there is NO battery drain at all.

DO IT! DO IT!

Quick noob question. So I downloaded the Invisible-Tabs.zip file for the custom slider theme, but now how do I use it?

My battery life has not changed one bit.

My battery life has not changed one bit.

yeah I've had it for about a week or so now and it hasn't affected my battery life either. It was already bad to begin with anyways, lmao. still working on using the custom sliders and stuff like that, but I do like it a lot, its very cool. Thanks for the tips guys and keep up the good work with the lockscreen designs.

I've been having an issue lately. I recently flashed to CM 7.0.3 and I will loose my clock & battery widget on my lockscreen. I am using root helper in Widgetlocker, but I don't know if this is what's causing it. Have you guys experienced this? Is it a CM7/Widgetlocker issue?

can't figure 2 things out, would appreciate any help.

1) how do i move the slider all the way to the bottom? if i try to manually do it, the trash comes up and it wants to delete it. what's the trick?

2) how do i change the wallpaper? i'm sure it's something simple but i can't figure it out.

ok i just messed around with it and figured out #1. still don't know how to change the wallpaper though.

Hit [Menu]-> [Settings]-> [Look & Feel]-> Check "Alternative Wallpaper" and press [Select Wallpaper].

Navigate to where your wallpaper is located, crop to fit, and hit ok.

Done! Hope this helps!

for number 1. on the lock screen, long press on the current slider, lift up and then drag to trash. let go... after the trash can disappears, WHERE THE TRASH CAN WAS, long press, and click Add Custom Slider. and go from there.

For number 2. Menu> Settings> Look and Feel> make sure Alternative Wallpaper is checked> Select Wallpaper

hope that helps.
