Replacement charger

I'm looking for a replacement charger for my 2013 Nexus 7. I used the original to charge a Ipad and I guess they did not get along. Seems like the $30 price for the Asus charger is too high. I have tried a 2.1 generic charger but it is taking almost 6 hours to charge the tablet. Any recommendations?

It might just be that specific charger- any micro-USB charger should do just fine, as long as it has sufficient output. The OEM charger was 5V 1.35A, according to the Asus site, but I routinely use a 2.1A charger I have laying around and mine charges up just fine. Though I usually charge it overnight, so I honestly have no idea how long it takes.

I started using s qi wireless charger. I love just setting it on my table when I'm done using it. Its always charged now, and I'm not beating up on my charging port by plugging and unplugging all the time. I only use my port for adb and fastboot now.

Wireless charging is the only way to go and one of the main reasons I bought a nexus 7. I've been charging my S3 wirelessly for over a year no way could I go back to plugging something in. :D

Save the micro USB port for when you need it for something more important.
