Replacement Droid X tomorrow?...hmmm

I was told the 27th, replacement ordered on the 20th about 2 am. called tonight and was told I was given wrong info. that the 27th was for orders placed on the 19th...that the 3rd was orders placed on the 20th...I still laugh at the inconsistencies VZW has with its customer service. I hold out hope I will get it on the 27th...but I wont be surprised if its the 3rd my luck

I went into the store where I purchased my Droid X yesterday (7/22), for a replacement. The guy told me that Verizon does have a warehouse with a special "replacement handset stash." Well, apparently that was true because according to Fedex tracking, the phone shipped out that very same evening on 7/22 - and it's enroute to Chicago via Fedex 2-day delivery.

I can't help but have flashbacks to December 2008 and the Storm I launch. That went down as perhaps the crappiest phone in recent memory, and certainly the worst RIM product ever. Problem is, I had been very excited about that phone and couldn't wait to get it. It never was "right."

I replaced it with a Droid last December, and I've not had a single complaint with it. I've got an X on order, and I'm as anxious for it as I was for the Storm. I hope Motorola is getting through these issues pretty quickly and won't be headed down the same road as RIM with the Storm I.

Replacement Droid X was ordered on Monday and delivered today. Yipee!

I placed my order on the 19th (mid-morning), and was told it would ship by the 27th. I got Fed-Ex shipment notification earlier this afternoon, with a delivery date of 7/27. Hopefully yours will ship a couple days early as well.

This may not be the right location for this post but I was wondering why everyone is looking for the replacement?? I am having troubles with VERY LOW ringer/ notification tones and EXTREMELY low battery power (6-7 hours top with barely using it). I have searched for answers to both issues but it seems everyone is all over as to GREAT DX or BAD DX. Should I be looking for a replacement???

I have searched for answers to both issues but it seems everyone is all over as to GREAT DX or BAD DX. Should I be looking for a replacement???

Mine was replaced because after 3 days of use the bottom part (about 1/5th) of the touchscreen was unresponsive.

Battery life really depends on your usage, but I'd say if you've discharged to about 30%, and recharged about a dozen times, you should be getting much better battery life than that.

I really didn't have enough time to mess with it to fully get a sense of tones/volumes, but I know a couple times it was tucked in my purse, and I still heard the ringer fine. I think you are justified in requesting a replacement

i ordered my phone on day 1. got it day 2. day 3 i order a replacement which came in 4-5 days later. Mine was replaced for the Screen Flicker issue which SUCKS!

Just thought i would update. My replacement that was "said" to be shipped around the 3rd is already en route to my house. Should be here the 27th.

Ordered it on Tuesday the 20th. Got shipping email with tracking last night. Its half way here.

I had my phone replaced because alarms would not go off, battery was dying by lunch and I was not receiving any notifications for texts and calls (with ringer on and set to high the phone would only vibrate). The new phone seems much better.
