Help Replacement evo, does it start with 2.2 or 2.3?

yep they are now shipping new and refurbished ones with 2.3.3 on it. if you are lucky there maybe 1 or 2 floating around that might have 2.2. but good luck finding that one. buy a lottery ticket if you do find one that way.

My wife just got a brand new Sprint HTC EVO 4G from RadioShack last week. I checked the firmware version and it was on Android 2.3.3.

I doubt you will see any Android 2.2 handsets floating around anymore unless you are buying from a store that has really low turnover with a big inventory. Good luck.

How can you check the firmware version. I am curious. I jsut took my 3rd Evo 3D back to Sprint on Sunday and went back to the 4G. For me, it has proven to be a great decision. I could not get a good 3D to save my neck. I am very curious as to what version firmware I have in this new 4G. Thanks,

My replacement Evo came with 2.3 loaded. I have not had any problems with this one.
