Help Replacement for People?

People as a contact manager is terrible. What are you using instead?

I don't care about linking facebook/twitter etc. I just want a list of my contacts that I can begin typing and pull someone up. I don't need my 1100 FB friends to come up as well.

Personally, I find people to do exactly what you're asking.

If you don't want FB/Twitter friends to some up. sign out of FriendStream and sign into the FB and Twitter apps for Android.

This way your facebook/Twitter information will not automatically link/sync to people. In addition, you can adjust the settings.

Use AContact for an alternate "People" app. Much better interface, IMHO.

I guess that my issue is I have a list of people that pops up. No way to search other than going to the search menu (another click).

I want a contact manager like Samsung has. Why does the HTC interface not have any adjust-ability?
