Replacement Phone...Syncing back up

Hi, Im new to Android. I have a h&c one s. Im getting a replacement phone. When I log back into google will my apps re-download and be placed back into the folders etc. If not is there anything I can buy before sending the phone back that would clone my phone?

Hi and welcome to the forum! I have a partial answer for you.

Your apps are always available in the Play Store and can be downloaded to your new device when you get it. But, your screen layouts will be lost unless you back them up to a service like Titanium Backup which requires root access. I'm not familiar with any programs that will recreate the exact look of your current device onto a new device without root access.

But, I always like starting fresh because I've collected so many junky apps over the years. It would drive me crazy if a new device downloaded and installed every app that I've ever used.

I hope this helps! Enjoy your new phone!

Are you using the stock launcher or a replacement launcher like LauncherPro or Nova Launcher?

If you use a 3rd party launcher most of them have an option in settings to backup your homescreens. Then copy this backup file to your SD card/computer/cloud storage whatever you prefer.

Then when you get your new phone, put this backup file on your new phone and restore the backup in launcher settings.

As far as I know that is the only way to get all of your folder, widgets, homescreen layout the same without manually setting it all up again.
