Root Replacement phone???

Motorola sent me a replacement Droid X under factory warranty. But the phone just froze up when I tried to boot. Just locked up. I couldn't do anything with it. Freaking bricked man! The only thing I was able to finally do was get into the bootloader. I ended up having to .sbf to fix a broken phone that was sent to me by Motorola/Verizon as a replacement! (I did fix it and everything is fine) How ironic is that???

I wonder how much they would pay me to fix their broken phones?...

i tried that once at the vzw store, i told them hey if your phones come in stuck, just let me know i can fix em, the guy laughed at me like i didnt know how to do it.... morons.

its funny that the VZW store people think they know it all, but in reality know very little. I'm sure 99% of us here know more about phones lol

in their defense, they probably get dozens of people every day who don't even know cell phones have internet capabilities.

It's really like that everywhere. All front-line support for any kind of product is typically going to be less helpful than a really good enthusiast. Of course, some of them are ALSO enthusiasts, so you'll hit the occasional person that's really good... but these people are not often hired because they are primarily very technical individuals.
