Replacing My Overheating Connect

I went to the store today and they are replacing my overheating phone and the agent said it is a good thing as she tried to do things on the phone and she said it was not as responsive to touch as it should be. So perhaps more was wrong than just overheating ??

I put a carbon fiber skinomi protector skin on the door of my phone, do you think metro pcs will still let me switch the back door of the replacement with my original one. I don't want to have to take the carbon fiber thing off cause I don't want to buy another carbon fiber skin.
