Accessories Replacing Old Screen Protectors.

I have a screen protector applied on my Droid X since last October 2010 and still have it on. Would there be a need replace it with a new screen protector? Is there a downside to keeping one on for a lengthy period of time?

your screen is made of "gorilla glass". I had a screen protector on for a month and hated it, it got scuffed up and held dirt. When I took it off, the screen was way more responsive and hasn't shown an signs of damage. Been off for a few months now and I work in an auto repair shop, so it gets plenty of chances to gt messed up.
I fully believe it doesn't need one, but its up to you.

Screen protectors are meant to take the scratches and nicks that your screen would normally take. Unless your protector is falling off or is very scratched there is no real reason to change it (and obviously it wouldn't hurt to leave it on it it wasn't).

You will hear both sides of the use or don't use with the DX but if you are and want to use them the above are the reasons for changing or not.
