^^request^^Battery test on 3G only

I have to tell ya other than the battery issue, I have not had a better android phone. Not a hickup since Monday. I would feel stupid to list all the droid phones I have had and how many I still have. I have 7 lines and am a bit of a phone whore. Also a moto fanboy. Now I'm a REZOUND/moto fanboy.

Just got mine last night. Loving everything about it except the battery. I think I am in the same boat as you. It hangs up charging at 99%. I take it off and lose roughly 1% a minute without even downloading anything.
I do love everything else though. Coming form og Droid and this is just a whole new experience. 4g is crazy fast, display is awesome, music sounds great...everything.
Did you just go back to the store and ask for a new battery? Was it much of a hassle? I was not expecting great battery life, but this is not right.

FWIW i charged mine over night with it on.
woke up turned the phone off and plugged the charger back in and it charged for another ten minutes before the light went green.

Yea easy I just went in and told them with little use battery go dead in 3 or 4 hr's which it would do, and I had depleted and recharged 4 times and lot of normal charge. Also I feel the rez is like a pair of shoes compared to moto. It needs to break in so to speak. Sense is such a heavy UI with the addition of installing apps and setting up phone it all needs to settle in and stabilize. This processor was designed to increase battery life so I'm optimistic. And if it don't, I like this phone enough to live with an extended battery.

well i took it off the charger last night and went to sleep, woke up and it was 28% percent battery left  Granted it was 9 hours and counting I was still surprised. I did have it on manual sleep setting which meant (i think) the data connection didn't go to sleep at all after the time on manual setting was past

It hangs on 99% for a while, but it does go to 100%.

The first 2 days I had the phone, I thought the battery was going to be a major issue. After I got it all set up and turning off things I know are battery hogs (live wallpapers, 100% screen brightness, etc.), I will say I am quite pleased with the battery life. I would say it is on par with my DINC with the Incredible getting slightly better battery life. I don't think I will have any issues getting through an entire day.

I bought the extended battery yesterday, and this sucker is huge. It almost makes the phone too big IMO, but it still feels good in the hand. I purposely left 4G on at work to see how it would handle bouncing back and forth between 4G and 3G. I unplugged at 6:35 this morning and am now at 44% battery left after 8 1/2 hours. I guess that's pretty good considering I'm right on the fringe of 4G at work and pick it up about 1/4th of the time. The new cover does seem to give me slightly better signal too. Still not what I was hoping for with such a big battery. I really love everything about the phone, but if the Nexus reviews start coming in with better battery life, I may have to take the Rezound back.

Followup on testing. I performed a factory reset on 11/16/11. Yesterday, I used the standard battery. I took the phone off the charger at 6:00 AM and it was close to dead by 9:30 PM. I had to go to school for a few hours last night and have bad coverage there, so it drains the battery. This is about the same as I was getting on my X2.

Today, I used the extended battery. I took the phone off the charger at 6:00 AM and right now I am at 71%. It is currently 5:24, so after approximately 12 hours, it has only used 30% of the battery.

I am in a 3G only area, and have it set to CDMA only, no LTE. I will try Monday with LTE on and see if that makes a difference. I would try tomorrow, but I have different usage habits on the weekend.

I am liking this phone more each day.

just remember guys, although bump charging is great and can maybe pull you a few extra hours a day, it def. decreases your overall battery life in the long run!

Seems as though battery is doing better today. Seems my widget shows very fast drain the first 10% and the last 10%. I guess I just didn't realize what a battery hog 4G is while using it. I am sure I can get 12+ hours on this with 4G turned off. But...when I have it on and am using it (Slacker, browser, etc.) it eats the battery at about 1% every 2 minutes...does that sound right? I've never had 4G before. I also turned screen down to 50% and that may have helped, and the screen still looks great. I have most my syncs either off or infrequent. I turn off wifi when I'm not at home, and mainly turn it on and use it while at home. I heard using wifi is actually better on battery than 3G when you have a constant connection, true? Anything else I can do?
Lastly, what is bump charging?
Maybe we can sticky some sort of battery tips and truths/myths by those in the know? Just a thought.
Thanks for anybody who might have more insight to my questions.
This phone is plain sick, lovin it.

My Day 1 experience went well i think. I went about 15 hours before putting it on charge. I was at about 14% left when i put it on charge.

That was using wifi for about 2 hours and no 4G. Normal usage for me.

With the extended battery, my phone has now been on 1 Day 7 Hours 0 Minutes and 37 Seconds and is still at 37%.
