get fotakill, put it in /system/app and set its permissions to rw--r--r, then reboot to recovery, wipe cache/dalvik and should be good

Are we not wanting to take OTA? I haven't done it yet just because I'm unsure about any limitations it might cause.

Will the OTA download properly if I've already rooted, flashed recovery and flashed a Rom?

No it will fail, options are no oc (which is unstable anyway) with my rom or add fotakill to stop ota from downloading

So I'd have to revert entirely to stock to take the update? Should I do that or do you think it will be included in future Rom updates?

if you havent taken the update, please let me know if my rom works. that was the whole purpose of this thread, to get info from anyone who may not have taken the OTA yet whether there is an impact from the OTA which may be causing difficulties

I'm using it right now without the OTA. I've been trying to tell you that ....I flashed it just fine with Philz recovery and the old update binary.

Had a reboot last night when I pressed the speech to text button on the keyboard. Seems to happen to my phone a lot.

You obviously had to revert back to stock or were on stock with no root right? I mean because you'd have to be on a stock recovery to flash an official update. Or has been in my experience. Did you lose root after the ota?

Extract the update and remove first two lines from updater script including semi colon. Rezip with normal compression, Toggle zip verification, and cwm will flash no problem.

Have you had a chance to run my rom through some paces, see how it performs, are you experiencing reboots or lock ups and bootloops?
