Help Reset Galaxy S2

I want to reset mine galaxy S2 because I for got the password to unlock to phone.

So I can't dial the code starting with *2767*3855#

If i try pressing volume up + Home button + power button and select "wipedata/factory reset" I have to give a password to go on. But I don't know this password either.

What do I have to do?

I have read this might work. not sure how you can get to the email prompt but if you do its worth a shot
TRY: ENTER EMAIL ADDRESS (TRY XXX@GMAIL.COM AND XXX@[B][U]GOOGLE[/U][/B]MAIL.COM)
IN PASSWORD FIELD ENTER “null” (WITHOT QUOTE MARKS)
ENTER NEW PATTERN AS PROMPTED
OR
EMAIL ADDRESS AND PASSWORD WITH ALL LOWER CASE

Take it to a Samsung Service Centre and they'll sort it out for you.

The password is there to protect the phone in case of unauthorised use or theft.
