Help Reset lock from google

After a factory reset my ZTE Z828 insists on a previous Google account sign in before going any further in the setup process. Help

If there is a factory reset protection on the device the only way around it short of flashing factory images would be to enter your account information.

Is there a reason you cannot use your credentials?

usually you can just skip that part of the boot up process....
I have nearly every time, because I want to set up all of my apps and screen before the phone is registered to the carrier...

If you are trying to change the primary account on the device,

Enter the old account details when required and let the reset complete

Remove all the Google accounts from the phone

Do another factory reset - this time you should not be asked for an old account and can set off using a new one.
