Help reset new voice mail notification

This got out of sync like it often did on my old blackberry and I can't seem to find where to reset the indicator. I even rebooted the phone and it still says new voicemail on the unlock screen.

Having this problem again. When it the indicator never goes away I have no way of knowing that I have new voice mail either. Been like this for a week now. Anyone else have this issue?

I had this problem too. What I did was leave myself a voicemail then call back into voicemail, listen to my own message and then erase it. This cleared the notification.

From what I can tell that counter is maintained on the server, not on the phone.

I often have my counter in error but it eventually catches up to reality. Same issue with email counter.

My provider is VZ.

I think that happened on my old phone once, you have to call *86 and I think there's a menu option to clear the VM indicator.
