is there a way to reset s2 to factory default including firmware?
I want to reset it back to original firmware ( I've upgraded it using Odin) as now the laptop can see the phone with or without kies.

Just flash your original carrier branded firmware with odin from this link

how do i install it if my laptop can't see the device anymore?
That's what i must fix first

Are you sure odin won't recognise your phone when your in download mode? If not it may be worth seeing if you can update kies and the usb drivers.
