My sprint hero resets itself after battery goes dead. What needs to be done. Please help.

Try not to let the battery go dead? Haha, just kidding. 
I actually am not sure what you can do. My Sprint HTC Hero will shut itself down if the battery gets to about 1% charge, and it has never been reset in that process.
