Help Resetting S2 on Jelybean/ Clean setting

Hey guys. I am new here and would like to say great site. I have been browsing for some time and finally have courage to sign up and hope to participate more and more.

I have a question, basically I own a galaxy S2 but will be giving it to a relative it is currently running jellybean fine, upgraded via viotutorials on YouTube.

All working fine. I wish to keep phone on jellybean but erase all data.If I erase data/factory reset through phone will it corrupt my phone? Due to it being custom/modded firmware? I just want to wipe data so phone is fresh for new user.

A factory reset will simply remove and user data from your device and reset it to a clean state at the current OS level. Assuming nothing is corrupt now, everything will be fine after the reset. Keep in mind that not all resets will erase SD card data, so you might want to reformat the SD card partition too, just to be safe.
