resizing wallpaper pics and applying sound

Hi,

I just got my new Samsung G2 yesterday and have a few minor niggles. I can't find out what the orange resize box means when it says resize as when I do resize it the picture is too big for the screen, even when I resize it downwards it remains too big. Yet on the login screen it's fine. the I would like to know how to get my sounds/ringtones into the place where I can appy it to meesages, it's not in alerts because that is for alarms etc, it's the notification bit I am stuck on as it just gives me the preset tones it already had on the phone. I have already reset my own ringtone so that's ok but it's the messsaging sounds I'm having major problems with. Any help would be so much appreciated, thanks.

a) I had trouble with the wallpaper resizing itself. Get the free Wallpaper Wizardrii app and set it up using that, it will stay exactly where it is.

b) Move/copy your sounds using My Files into media/audio/notifications and then they'll appear in the notifications menu for you to choose from.

Thanks for the advice Wullie, just tried using Wallpaper Wizardrii but it won't work either. Not sure if I have all the settings right as the picture I want to use is displayed correctly but spread over all the pages with the result that I get half the picture on screen 1 and the rest of the screen is black. I have just spent over an hour on it trying to get it right to no avail and finally uninstalled it. What am I doing wrong?
