I know I'm not the only one having this issue, I'm just wondering if anyone has found a fix for it yet.
Issue is that when I use the GPS car dock the battery drains, and rather rapidly I might add.
However when I disconnect the car charger from the GPS dock and plug straight into my phone it charges with no issue.
I've seen some say that the problem is probably that 4g uses a lot of battery power and then using GPS on top of that is probably pulling more juice than the car charger can provide.
However, I've had it plugged in to the car charger sitting on the seat next to me running GPS, playing music through the headphone Jack plugged into my car's aux port, and of course connected to the 4g network all at the same time and it charged just fine. So that would stand to reason that it's the GPS dock that's the actual problem.
I've also noticed that while on the dock with the battery draining that the battery heats up more than normal. To about 110 degrees farenheit. So my guess is that there's a software or hardware issue with the dock itself causing the battery to charge improperly.
So has anyone been able to get this one resolved?
