I have the same issue. Wonder if a Sprint repair center would change the screen on my evo instead of giving me a refurbished one.

HTC's build quality is terrible. I have never had a flawless HTC device, ever. I have owned 3 different HTC models and probably 9 different handsets (replacements, etc) from them, all defective in some way.

Have a new version 4 (replaced original because of dead pixels), and noticed no light leakage at all on the bottom, whereas my original did.

Mine has had very minimal leakage underneath the Home button since the day I got it from the Sprint store (it was the last one left- this nice gal had held on for me). She said if it got worse or I just couldn't deal with it to just bring it back; that was the end of July and it hasn't gotten any worse. Doesn't bother me, my silicone case covers it anyways. Version 3.

Exactly! If you guys are really bothered by it, put a case over it, issue resolved, and the case might prevent it from getting worse as well. :)

That's why I wasn't bothered by it.... :D
