I own a bar, had one girl come in with an iphone. She saw my eris and was like oh you have an iphone we should bump. I just looked at her and laughed. I told her it was the eris then she started playing with my phone. She said she liked it better. Also my best friend got the droid, after the leak came out, I leaked and he'd try to show me all these apps. I just pulled up google maps and he'd just say he wished he got the eris.

The droid and droid eris have basically the same apps for the exception of google earth and a handful of others which the eris cannot run.

I do not understand why people with iphones come to the droid eris board anyway.

I know I do not go to the iphone boards to troll about the eris, so whats the deal?

This was when the Droid still had the 2.0 firmware, and I was running the 2.1. Not much of a difference, but there were certain things that he didn't have on the Droid.
 
Just being truthful. I've been here for a while as well, but I see the differences in them. Android is better at a lot of things. But for what it's worth, everything that's been argued is actually better on the iPhone.

And of course you'll read posts from me first, because I post in the recent threads...and that's what most people read so...

You are not being truthful, you are being confrontational. The one truthful thing you said is that each of the phones has its strengths.

But the one fact that you gloss over is that AT&T has a terrible network. Connection problems have been documented repeatedly. If a phone cannot connect to a network, all the "superior features" in the world are useless.

If you are happy about your iPhone, that's great. But I doubt you will convince many here that it is a "better" phone.

you're still here eh? figured since you love the iphone so much you would deal with the shitty coverage to have one... im sure your droid doesnt get that great of service from the inside of steve jobs' ass anyway :D

But I'm using the Eris, and if they ran the same OS and the same network, they wouldn't be equal.

No kidding! Let me say that you have a firm grasp of the obvious!

Since you use an Eris, I wonder why you care so much about the iPhone. I will hazard a guess that you are under 20 years old, most of your friends have them, and you feel left out.

I'm above 20, most of my friends have blackberry's, and you're a tar hole. stop talking and go sit on your hands like the rest of your fanbase.
 
I went to a client's house the other day for the first time so I tried out my Google Navigation (way cool) and it took me there. So after the visist they asked me how did I find their house and I said my phone showed me how to get there. They were really interested and said "how?" So I showed them. Standing at their front door just outside of their house I spoke to the phone, "Navigate to (their street address and city name)" The phone then said something like gettng info, I don't know. With me standing so they could see the screen of the phone I had my right side towards their house. The phone quipped up, "Destination on the right." We looked and eachother with my right side to them and Both started to laugh real hard. It was right the house was to my right.

What did they say when the actual photo of the house showed up at the end of the destination route, that is really a sweet feature as you can see what to look for.

I forgot to do that. I was to busy laughing. The front door was like 2 feet to my right.
