Nexus16

Lurker
Ok so i recently had my phone crushed on the road by a car(long story) Went to place called Nanotech got a new screen put on it works. But now i have a battery issue or software issue where if my screen goes to sleep or i hit the lock button. It turns off and restarts back up but if if i dont use it after it restarts it will restart almost after every minute. Its pissing me off that i cant really figure out how to fix this... Someone please help me and let me know what i can do. I was thinking just going back to Visions(place i got my phone) and saying i have a battery issue and i want a new nexus or something.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe doing what you've described is called fraud (which is illegal). Your name will be attached to the phone when they take it from you, and when the techs open it up (they'll want to fix it and then send it out as a refurb to another customer) they'll be able to tell right away what happened to the phone.

It's best just to be honest and simply ask them what your options are for getting a replacement phone. Otherwise it very well may come back to bite you in the butt.

What Petrah was describing is pretty much how it goes. It is fraud and it is illegal. You might get a new phone, but once it is sent back to Samsung they will see the problem and you will end up getting charged full retail ($650 in most cases).

I would encourage you to find a company that can repair it or see if the place you bought it will work with you.
