Help restarting phone on notification sound from SD card

t0r11

Lurker
hiii all, i'm new for 'Android' system..

want to ask that my 'mini pro' issue..
my phone suddenly restart when connected into PC,
please refer into below statements carefully...

- 'notification ringtone' set from micro sd card > connect into PC (by USB) > micro sd card detect on PC > phone restart > SIM couldn't detect > shut down.

- 'notification ringtone' set from InternalMem > connect into PC (by USB) > micro sd card detect on PC > works fine (no anomaly).:)

-Had formated the micro sd card and replaced w/ another sd card, still found the same anomaly,
-Already re-upgrade into v2.1 (Eclair)
...and had follow instruction that not to insert micro sd card for 24 hours after upgrading process (*although on first upgrade, the dealer directly insert SDcard after upgrade process*)
...but still find same anomaly.

Other function still work fine (i think).
my PC system = XP SP3

Thank you very much for your help in advance :D

What about if you turn off the SD Card Notifications.... if the system is trying to mount the card using a notification on it then that may be why its throwing a loop.

It's in Menu>Settings>Sound & Display and then scroll down and untick SD Card notifications.

Other than that no clue, sorry!

it works.. thanks :D ...

but... all connection from phone to mini sd card been cut off...
for example:
*while connecting USB*..
-notification tone (message etc) from mini sd card ... goes into none (no sound)
-incoming call tone from mini sd card ... goes into none (no sound)

*when the USB is removed*.. it came back usual (as per previous setting)

from my opinion this is correct, because mini sd card being used by Explorer....
but I don't know the program algorithms, this is correct ??.. or not ??
how about yours ??

once again... Thank you very much :D

You are right, once connected to PC and mounted you can't access the sd card functions on the phone. Once disconnected from the pc the phone can then see the card again.

mounting makes the pc read the sd card in the phone thats why you cant access the sd files while connected to your pc
