Root Restore Contacts/SMS Titanium Backup

Well I successfullly mangaged to install my first custom ROM last night - very chuffed!

I used TiBackup to backup all apps and data, and once I had installed LeeDroid I did a "Restore Missing Apps + Data". However, I don't have any of my non-gmail/facebook contacts or any of my SMS messages.

Have I done the wrong type of restore?

Shame they're don't have friendlier names.

Slightly off topic tip: anything in [] is usually data for whatever is usually data for whatever is within the brackets. So it could be user data (sms, call logs etc) or settings (wallpaper settings, sms preferences).

These are the things that may conflict between different roms and cause some apps to force close.

I had to wipe [sms/mms prefs] to be able to send / receive MMS. Turns out by wiping it, it changed only one setting sso it wasn't a hardship

Sometimes, they are not even logical though.

for example, whenever I went settings>sound I would get force close. After much trial and error, I wiped [wallpaper settings] and it then worked...
