Help Restore to defaults

I am very new to the Android platform. I have screwed up my home screens and would like to reset them to the factory defaults. Is there any way to do this? I am talking about the wallpapers, scenes and the widgets that were in place when I got the phone.

I have learned if i hold on something too long it deletes it. I don't even know what I removed to try to add it back. Now when I go to add a widget to a screen that is blank I get the message that the home screen is full even though nothing is displayed on many of the pages.

Sorry if this isn't clear. I don't even know where to start to describe what I did.

I guess what i am looking for is a reset button?

Did you back it up via HTC sync on your computer or through an e-mail?

No, I'm a complete newbie to the android platform. No big deal, as that is what I needed to learn anyway. Coming from a Blackberry it has been quite a change. I had the phone pretty messed up, highly customizable, but not as intuitive.

I will just need to charge up my BB and transfer my contacts again through bluetooth.

It HTC sync something I need to download like the BB desktop manager? I guess that is what I should start with? Learning how to back everything up. When you ask about backing up to email, that is a new concept to me... how would I do that?

I am guessing if you have been a BB user, you also have an Outlook or Exchange account that you synched with the BB.

HTC Sync will sync with that account.

I, too, have been totally confused by all the different contacts/calendar folders I have in exchange, Outlook, Google, Hotmail, etc.

I now delete them all except Outlook and keep that clean and in order and synch HTC to it. If HTC ever gets out of sorts I delete all the contacts and than resynch with my master contacts/calendar folder.

So HTC synch will download all your computer contacts after you set it up.

Thanks, Never really synched with outlook before, just used DM to backup contacts and then kept that on a flashdrive.

I am assuming HTC sync is a program for the computer similar to BB DM? Will have to google it and figure it all out. Learning curve on this is a little steeper and I miss my keypad. Will get the hang of it though. My big thumbs press buttons by accident all the time, so likely need to investigae the contact backups as I will be restoring the phone to defaults occasionally.

Good news was i can transfer everything (contacts) from my BB through bluetooth so the restore wasn't that difficult.
