Root Restoring Apps/Data on new ROMS

I want to be able to restore all my apps and data the easiest way possible when flashing new ROMS, what is the best way to do this?

I was thinking one of these ways might work?

1. Advanced restore of other ROM and only restore data, but could this be problematic?

2. Titatinium backup: What batch should I run when I'm backing up my stuff and what batch should I run when I'm restoring on a new ROM?

i have done both. just make sure if you do an advanced nandroid restore you only use 2.2 data. do not restore data from a 2.1 rom.

with TB backup all apps with data but not system data. then do a restore apps and data.
