Root restoring backup

i installed axura custom rom, and hated it. so i decided to restore to the backup i made from rom manager. only prob is that now it's stuck on the vibrant screen. what do i need to do to get back to what i was at before?

Sorry to say but I spent eight hours trying to fix the same problem to no avail. You may be able to call t-mobile and tell them ur phone is stuck on the vibrant logo. That is what I did and they sent me a new one. Something about a known issue with getting locked on that screen. I told them I modified the phone and was trying to get it back to normal. If not. I hope you got insurance.

I had this happen myself. I pulled the battery out, put it back in, booted in to recovery the manual way. Once there, I clicked reinstall packages, and it went right back to the same screen. So I cleared the cache, and tried again, and it booted in to clockworkmod recovery. Then I flashed the custom rom back on. Then my phone worked, and I proceeded to find another rom I liked. It would seem using ODIN is the best way to get back to stock.
