Help Restoring phone I found

Before anyone think I stole the phone...I didn't. Im a firm believer in returning anything I find. I have returned things from keys to portable hard drives.

I was waiting for the owner to call the phone, but then I realized the phone didnt have a SIM That kinda makes me think the person stole the phone and then left it because they couldn't get past the lock screen.
I cant get past the lock screen, so I cant access the numbers on the phone to call someone.

so here i am with a phone.

I tried to reset using the volume down and the power button but that didnt work.

Anyone know how to reset the phone, or a bypass around the lock screen so i can maybe find the owner???

You can also call ATT, they have records of equipment owners. I bet that would be such a happy phone call to receive for someone.

Exactly. If you take it to a local ATT store or call customer care they can find the owner based on the devices imei.

Yea call AT&T and give them the IMEI number. They should be able to track down who it belongs to.
