I am not sure that is possible unless you have it backed up somewhere.
What sms app do you have? Stock or 3rd party?
What device do you have?
There might be something, somewhere about retrieving it but I am almost certain that once it is gone, it's gone...but..don't quote me

Exactly as Mike said, unless it's backed up to a cloud or sd card, once it's deleted no turning back.
