Return DInc2 for Thunderbolt?

sorbet

Newbie
Hey guys,

I picked up an Incredible 2 2 weeks ago at Best Buy for an easy $50, since my original Incredible bit the dust. I thought about the Thunderbolt, but it was $150 at the time and ya can't beat a $50 phone!

I noticed now that the Thunderbolt and the Inc 2 are both $100, and I'm debating on returning it for the Thunderbolt and pay the difference.

I use my phone constantly, texting throughout the workday mostly with some Facebook, nothing too heavy. I live and work in a 4G area, but I don't really use my phone when I'm out with my friends in a way that I feel would be beneficial. But I need to have this phone for 2 years, I want one that will get the updates that matter.

Any advice?

That is a hard choice. I think the inc2 will get updates before the TB just due to the lacking radios. 4G is nice and speedy so if you think you wil use it at times (streaming media, downloading large files...) then the TB may be a good choice. If you don't need the additional speed then I think staying with the inc2 would be fine honestly

The Thunderbolt might come down in the next few weeks...

+1 due to the new HTC Rezound coming out... Wow that is stupid name for a phone

I do not know how long you are able to wait, since VZW has changed there return policy two or three times, but I would hold out as long as you can

I'd say Rezound isn't as bad as Thunderbolt 2. I was hoping for the Vigor but I think HTC is trying to market up their "Beats" marketing BS so reSOUND...ZOUND...I still think it's all a bunch of fluff..

Oh and to the OP, Used Thunderbolts are going for $125 on Ebay so you may consider waiting until the new phones come out and the prices of these older phones drop even more.
