Root Return to stock Desire (CDMA)

Lurker
Hello there! I have the CDMA HTC Desire on US Cellular. Tired of waiting for US Cellular to release the Froyo update, i went and rooted my phone, and installed the latest Cyanogen mod to get Froyo. Now, just out of curiosity, what happens when my carrier finally releases the Froyo update to the Desire? Will i get the update notification? Or what? And will i be able to change back to the Sense UI with Froyo?

Also on a note, i did a nandroid backup before i did anything to my phone.

Thanks, im sorta just learning rooting and installing roms and whatnot, so i might not always understand everything you might say, so excuse me...

Thanks!

So the update - which sounds like it will be a download - may not be a full RUU? I have been under the impression that when Froyo finally gets released it will bring the RUU. This is not the case?

OTA are not always full and require you to be on a specific version to flash it
