Return to store or call Google?

So I have been out of the Android community but now I am back. I recently traded in my Xbox 360 at GameStop to purchase the Nexus 7. I am experiencing the screen separation problem that I have noticed quite a few people have have had. My question is should I go to a GameStop store and try and get it exchanged or would I be better off contacting Google directly?

If the store is close, choose the easy solution.
If you have Google call you, they do it within a minute and you could ask them, yourself - which approach would be better.

Store...no doubt! Dealing with Google has been a bit of a nitemare lately as they are severely backed up with the demand for the 7 being very high.

Yeah, I don't even think you CAN deal with Google, its either ASUS (tablet manufacturer) or the store...

Go to the store .. they have a legal responsibility to sell you a working / good product. I believe it is called the implied warranty of merchantibility (or something like that - it's been a few years). They have to either fix it or replace it.

They will definitely exchange for you if you are within the 30 days, I purchased mine there and have exchanged multiple times without an issue (screen lift, dead pixels). Don't bother RMA'ing- call around to find another one in stock and swap it out while you can.
