Help returning phone to best buy for battery issue

Determined I have a weak battery and will be returning g to phone today. Wondering if they replace the whole phone or just the battery. If they give me a new phone what do I need to do to make sure no personal info is left on the phone and in apps. Also, what happens to apps that I have paid for and installed. Do I need to pay again to dl them if I get a new phone?

you were answered in the support section on the market and personal data issue. :)

as for the battery they will prolly just try and replace that first instead of a whole phone.
 
Determined by reading the battery thread and with the help of a member.

Went to the store and the rep just installed advanced task killer and told me to monitor to see if battery life improves.

Phone is a week old.

Go back and tell the rep installing ATK made the battery life worse

+1...atk will if anything worsen battery life, if your phone was a week old then the battery should have been doing a lot better obviously....definetly need a new battery.
 
The rep installed Advanced Task Killer on your phone FOR you? I'd take it off. If you were having trouble before, this will make it worse. If you must kill tasks, use the task killer that Samsung provides. It keeps you from killing tasks vital to the OS. It's never good when someone other than you installs apps onto your phone!
 
Yea as he was putting it on I was like I read that it drains the battery and he's all no. I had the same problem but its better now. I can see my battery draining already. Gonna take it back Mon. I've been using the Samsung to.
 
They will replace the whole phone not just the battery, all of your purchased apps will be backed up with your gmail account. you will have to redownload them. As other people have said on here ATK just drains the battery more.
