Help Reverse tethering with samsung epic

Is there anyway for me to Reverse tether on my samsung epic?

I would like to plug my phone into my computer and use my computer's internet on my phone

I saw that the HTC thunderbolt had that option right when you plug it in and it was called "internet passthrough" where it uses ur PC's internet right on your phone.

Please let me know!
 
If I remember correctly, I was able to do this with my Windows Mobile 6 phone. Had to set up internet sharing or something on my computer (Windows XP). Only reason why I did it was because my phone didn't WiFi.

I'm stating the obvious, but why not just use a wireless router?
 
As far as I know you can not "reverse tether." You best bet would be to buy a wireless router; they are not that expensive.
 
Never heard of that with Android.

Google has followed the cloud model with Android, instead of the old device/desktop sync model that used to be so popular.

Windows Mobile used to do that via activesync. Not sure if it still does or not.

Its possible with some HTC devices like the HTC thunderbolt.

The reason I wanted to connect through USB and reverse tether is becuase I want it for work. And in my lab we dont have wifi here.

My coworker is able to plug his thunderbolt into his PC and use its internet...which woudl be awesoem if my friggin Epic could do it too.

As soon as he plugs it in, he has teh option of "internet passthrough"
 
i assume that if the HTC thunderbolt can do it....theres gotta be somethign out there that can emulate that...right? =(
