Hey guys.. I need some serious help I want to try and unlock the bootloader and root it but I can't since I'm on 4.2.2 and its becoming a pain in the arse! I've tried everything around on xda and etc.. but NADA! This sucks, well could someone help me figure out a way to get my N4 back to stock 4.2?

You can unlock the bootloader, and root stock 4.2.2
I just got my phone today, soon as it turned on it nagged me about system update and I went ahead and updated it then I shut off the phone held volume down then pressed power.
It booted into the boot loader I opened adb and typed
fastboot oem unlock. It said it will wipe your phone back to factory, basically a factory reset. use the volume up to choose yes then power to select.
then its done.
After that you want to have su zip on the phones sdcard and download the recovery of your choice have that image in your adb/fastboot folder and put the phone back into fastboot type
fastboot boot (recovery image name) your recovery opens and you can install su zip just like normal, thats it your rooted but at this point you do not have a recovery.
I used the app on playstore to permanently flash recovery.

I've tried basically everything I could but I couldn't find a working solution. I'm going to try tomorrow t work though. Is there any way you could link me the necessary files? I'd really appreciate it man.

I can't find them any where and when I do.. I can't install them. I'm going crazy here and nothing. I been going crazy trying to unlock my bootloader and root it but literally I'm sh*t out of luck. There's nothing out there as far as I can see.
did you download the android sdk?
You appear to need the java jdk as well. download those open sdk install for 4.2.2

thanks, I actually got it now. I used the tool kit by wugfresh which worked like a charm after I made some changes but ended up working

I was rooted but since I've updated to 4.2.2 it seems to have lost root. Is that normal?

If that's the case, can I still use the Nexus 4 Toolkit: One-Click Root? I rooted with it when I was on 4.2.1

If I get it to work, will I lose all my apps and customization?

Thanks in advance

Yes, normal. I don't know anything about the One-Click Root except that it will probably have to have an updated version (which it may), but you can fastboot flash a custom recovery and install the SuperSu zip from that. If you don't want a custom recovery, Wug has his newest kit finished. It should work for you.

Those videos I posted have all the files you needed to do it as well. They were in the description.
