Root Reverting To Stock

My phone is rooted with S-ON, and I have a custom ROM installed on it.

If I wanted to return it to the store I bought it from, how would I go about reverting to it's normal condition? Or at least close enough, to be returnable?

Run the RUU. That will return everything to stock but your hboot will say relocked. (This would probably be fine)

The only way to get it to say locked is to get s off and then use the fastboot command to put s-on. Just make sure not to flash the modified hboot during the process.
